In the interests of transparency, we would like to clarify a detail that might appear misleading at first glance: if you look at the ingredients list for the new range, you will see the term ‘Bis-Hema’. We would like to reassure you that this substance has nothing to do with Hema. Let us explain further: the products contain a polymer called “Bis-hema poly (1,4-butanediol) - 9 / ipdi copolymer”; this polymer is composed of various monomers and has a molecular structure different from that of the Hema monomer, even though both contain the word “Hema”. Chemically speaking, they are two distinct substances with different chemical properties. To draw a comparison, consider Sodium Chloride and Mercury Chloride: both contain the word “chloride”, but the former is ordinary table salt, whilst the latter is a toxic substance. Similarly, despite the presence of the word ‘Hema’, ‘Bis-hema poly (1,4-butanediol) - 9 / IPDI copolymer’ is chemically different from the Hema monomer and has distinct characteristics that are absolutely harmless to the nails. Strong Semi-Permanent Base is a semi-permanent (rigid) base suitable for all nail types, providing significant strengthening for weak nails. Its properties prevent the formation of ridges.
