Gel Tips should be applied exclusively on the nail plate, with a maximum free edge of 2 mm to facilitate attachment.

• After removing any residual product, shorten the free edge. Mattify the plate with a 180 grit file and then the cuticle area with the cutter (using a red flame tip of any diameter) but without going deep as the manicure will be performed later. Make sure that the entire nail surface is mattified.
• Dust and degrease with the cleanser twice, making sure the foil is completely clean and dehydrated.
• If you want to apply primers, you need to follow these steps: apply the Nail Prep Cactus, letting it air dry for 30 seconds. Once it is completely dry, apply a very small drop of Scotch Acid Free Primer on the plate and massage the product with a gel brush over the entire nail plate, avoiding touching the skin. Wait 1 minute for air drying. If you do not intend to apply primers, go directly to the next step.
• Apply the Base Step One Clear with Vitamins in two phases: first spread a small amount of product massaging it with a brush. Immediately after, apply a coat of polish. Once these steps are completed, cure for 1 minute in a UV/LED lamp.
• Choose the Gel Tips that best fit your nail plate, placing the tip on your natural nail.

Be careful not to choose the tip as if it were a dual form: the dual forms, unlike the Gel Tips, need space in the lateral area to ensure the correct thickness of the gel once removed. The Gel Tips, on the other hand, will not be removed, so they must be chosen based on the size and shape of the nail plate. If there is a lot of free space in the lateral area, between the tip and the nail, at the moment of attachment the tip will descend too much due to the pressure and will go beyond the nail plate, resulting in a very large tip.

• Once you have chosen the tip, you need to prepare it:
  • Thin the edge of the cuticle line to avoid the formation of a large visible step that would then need to be filed with the burr.
  • Mattify the tip internally with a buffer of any grit or with a diamond burr tip.
  • Degrease inside with the cleanser. After this step the tip may become white.
• If you use the Hard Cactus Base to attach the tip, it is important to apply the inside first. Base Step One Clear with Vitamins in a thin layer and cure in UV/LED lamp for 1 minute. This step is essential because the Hard Cactus Base is a rigid base, not an adhesion one. Base Step One Clear with Vitamins It is instead an adhesion base that allows the tip to adhere perfectly to the Hard Base.
• Spread the Hard Base in a thin layer of glide and then apply a drop. Position the gel tip at a 45 degree angle and move down until it is parallel with the finger, making sure it is straight and has covered the sides. Set it for 15-20 seconds with a mini-lamp.

If you do not use the Hard Cactus Base, you can use the Base in both steps. Step One Clear with Vitamins or the Universal Base, both adhesion bases that allow the tip to adhere perfectly.

• Complete polymerization in UV/LED lamp for 1 minute.
• Refine the step of the tip in the cuticle area, even if it is not very visible, using a finishing tip and/or a flame tip.
• Spread a layer of Base Step One Clear with Vitamins near the cuticle line to encapsulate the tip with the natural nail, taking care to apply the product beyond the edge of the tip. Polymerize. This step serves to avoid lifting in the cuticle line.
• Continue with the complete manicure, applying color and Top Coat.

With this technique you will get a ready and very resistant structure. It will not be necessary to model any curvature on the surface of the tip with other gel.
