NB: Our Gel Tips are very versatile, but because they are pre-shaped, they may not fit perfectly on all nails. On particularly flat nails, the natural curvature and rigidity of the tip may make the adhesion less precise.

Gel Tips should be applied exclusively to the nail plate, with a maximum free edge of 2 mm to facilitate attachment.

• After removing any residual product, trim the free edge. Mattify the nail plate with a 180-grit file, then the cuticle area with a file (using a red flame tip of any diameter), but without going too deep, as the manicure will be done later. Make sure the entire nail surface is mattified.
• Dust and degrease with the cleanser twice, making sure the foil is completely clean and dehydrated.
• If you want to apply primers, you need to follow these steps: apply the Nail Prep Cactus, letting it air dry for 30 seconds. Once it is completely dry, apply a very small drop of Scotch Acid-Free Primer Apply to the nail plate and massage the product with a gel brush over the entire nail plate, avoiding touching the skin. Wait 1 minute for it to air dry. If you don't intend to apply primer, skip to the next step.
• Apply the Base Step One In two steps: first, apply a small amount of product and massage it in with a brush. Immediately after, apply a coat of polish. Once these steps are complete, cure for 1 minute in a UV/LED lamp.
• Choose the Gel Tips that best fit your nail plate, placing the tip on your natural nail.

Be careful not to choose the tip as if it were a dual form: dual forms, unlike gel tips, require space at the sides to ensure the correct thickness of the gel once removed. Gel tips, on the other hand, will not be removed, so they must be chosen based on the size and shape of the nail plate. If there is a lot of free space at the sides, between the tip and the nail, the tip will slide down too far due to the pressure when attached and will protrude beyond the nail plate, appearing very large.

• Once you have chosen the tip, you need to prepare it:
  • Thin the edge of the cuticle line so as to avoid the formation of a large visible step which would then need to be filed with the burr.
  • Mattify the tip internally with a buffer of any grit or with a diamond burr tip.
  • Degrease the inside with the cleanser. After this step, the tip may turn white.
• If you use the Hard Cactus Base to attach the tip, it is important to apply the Hard Cactus Base inside first. Step One in a thin layer and cure in a UV/LED lamp for 1 minute. This step is essential because the Hard Cactus Base is a rigid base, not a bonding base. The Base Step One It is instead an adhesion base that allows the tip to adhere perfectly to the Hard Base.
• Apply a thin layer of Hard Base and then apply a drop. Position the gel tip at a 45-degree angle and move it downward until it's parallel to your finger, making sure it's straight and has covered the sides. Set it for 15-20 seconds with a mini-lamp.

If you do not use the Hard Cactus Base, you can use the Hard Cactus Base in both steps. Step One or the Universal Base, both adhesion bases that allow the tip to adhere perfectly.

• Complete polymerization in UV/LED lamp for 1 minute.
• Refine the step of the tip in the cuticle area, even if it is not very visible, using a finishing tip and/or a flame tip.
• Spread a layer of Base Step One near the cuticle line to encapsulate the tip with the natural nail, taking care to apply the product beyond the edge of the tip. Cure. This step helps prevent lifting at the cuticle line.
• Continue with the full manicure, applying color and Top Coat.

With this technique, you'll get a ready-made, very durable structure. It won't be necessary to shape the tip's surface with additional gel.
