The Dual Forms by Cactus are an alternative to the classic Nail Forms, which allow you to create the entire structure immediately of the nail to be reconstructed.

Thanks to the Dual Forms you can create any natural form from the salon, but also extreme forms thanks to the wide choice that our collection offers.

The Dual Form Cactus are transparent, with guidelines designed to facilitate the application of the product inside, immediately obtaining the desired shape.

They are designed to be flexible but at the same time resistant, a feature that allows you to save time when choosing the size and helps to minimize the risk of creating steps in the cuticle area.

What type of nail are Dual Forms suitable for?

Each type of nail can find a Dual shape that adapts perfectly. You need to choose the Dual based on the shape of the nail plate you are going to work on:

If the natural nails are flat (little presence of apex) we will prefer a Dual which has a natural curvature equal to approximately 35%, such as the forms “Stiletto”, “Natural Square” or “Natural Dancer”.

If the natural nails have a very evident “C” curve, we will opt for dual arched ones, with a curvature equal to 50%, such as the forms “Arched Square”, “Arched Ballerina”, “Russian Almond”.

What shapes can be created?

With a single type of Dual Form it is possible (in most cases) to create different shapes during reconstruction.

• Dual Form Natural Ballerina: Ballerina, Almond, Oval, Short Square.

• Dual Form Stiletto: Stiletto, Almond, Oval.

• Dual Form Natural Square: Natural square of any length, short oval, long oval with stapling.

• Dual Form Square Arched: Arched Square of any length, Oval, Long Oval with stapling.

• Dual Form Ballerina Arcuata: Ballerina, Short Almond, Long Almond with stapling, Oval, Short Square.

• Dual Form Russian Almond: Only Russian Almond.

How to understand which size to choose?

To choose the right Dual for each finger, you need to position the tip on the nail and make sure that match the growth points perfectly on the sides of the plate. The Dual must “hug” the nail, without applying pressure, perfectly covering the entire surface.

DUAL FORM APPLICATION

• Remove any old product.

• To make opaque very carefully the entire surface of the nail plate with the 180 grit file or buffer. Avoid leaving shiny areas because the product will not adhere properly.

• Clean and degrease nails with Nail Prep Cactus, wait 30 seconds for the product to evaporate completely.

• Apply the Scotch Primer in a thin layer, massaging it all over the nail plate. Wait 1 minute for it to dry completely in the air.

• Apply base Step One in a thin layer, massaging the nail avoiding touching the skin. Be careful to cover the entire surface of the nail well. Polymerize. (Be careful: if you do not cover the nail plate well with the base, you risk the gel not adhering well)

• Choosing the right one Dual Form measure for each finger

• Apply the chosen product (Gel or Acrylic gel) in the Dual immediately creating the desired shape. In case, especially - but not only - of self-leveling Gel such as the Mousse or the Sorbetto, you need to pay particular attention to the thickness of the sides, so as not to leave them too thin.

• Blend the product in the cuticle area so that towards the end the quantity is practically zero.

• Maintaining an inclination of 45°, place the Dual on the cuticle area, keeping a distance of 2mm from the same.

• Once you are sure that the Dual is straight, lower and reduce the inclination while maintaining pressure in the cuticle fold, until the sides of the Dual are parallel to the finger (It should not go up or down, as this would create an incorrect shape which could then lead to cracks and breakages).

• Use the UV light bulb placing it just near the cuticle line and polymerizing for 10 seconds.

• Turn your finger upside down and remove any excess product or level it out with a brush.

• Once the structure is leveled, to polymerize in the lamp for 1 minute. If you wish, to pinch the shape by placing the clamp over the Dual, after 15 seconds of polymerization.

• Remove the Dual by applying light pressure with your fingers on both sides, starting from the growth points and working your way to the tip.

• Give the desired shape with the file, pass the cutter along the lower part of the nail to remove excess product and finish any steps, if present, with the Carbide finishing tip “Blue Finish d0215”.

• Apply color in two thin coats, if desired, and seal with Top Coat Reflex no Wipe.
