    Description

    A very rigid base, more rigid than Strong Base, designed to provide longer-lasting wear. Its properties are similar to a gel, so it can be used for quick gel refills or to reinforce weak, thin nails. Its denser-than-usual consistency does not run and gives you enough time to level the surface, helping speed up salon refill services.

    Hard Base is safe for nails and skin because it is:

    7-free: Free from harmful substances such as formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, camphor, toluene, DBP, ethyl tosylamide and xylene.

    HEMA-free: HEMA is an ingredient that helps gel polish adhere. It is not harmful or dangerous, but it can cause allergies. This is why we offer HEMA-free products.

    Cruelty-free and vegan: Our products have not been tested on animals and do not contain ingredients of animal origin. Let’s take care of our planet together.

    Consistency: Dense, self-levelling consistency that makes application faster and allows you to work without filing.

    • Self-levels effectively to create the correct apex.
    • Very stable and does not run.

    Colour: Available in Clear and six highly pigmented shades: Toffy, French Pink, Skin, Latte, Cream and Ivory. They help cover imperfections in the nail plate.

    Quantity: 15 ml.

    Curing time: 90 seconds under a 48W LED lamp; 3–4 minutes under a UV lamp.

    Removal: Remove the base with a nail drill or file. For nail-drill removal, use a carbide or ceramic bit, preferably with a red or blue band.

    Wear:

    • Long-lasting wear without lifting or cracking.
    • Suitable for small nail extensions using nail forms.
    • Requires STEP ONE CLEAR base as the first step.
    • Thanks to its high pigmentation, it can be covered with gel polish or left in its natural shade.

    Application

    • Remove the old product with a nail drill or file.
    • Carefully buff the entire surface of the nail plate with a 180-grit file or buffer. Avoid leaving shiny areas, as the product will not adhere correctly.
    • Remove dust from the nail with a manicure brush.
    • If a manicure is required, perform it at this stage of the service.
    • Cleanse and degrease the nails with cleaner or alcohol.
    If necessary, you can then proceed with:
    • Apply Nail Prep Cactus, then wait 30 seconds for the product to evaporate completely.
    • Apply Scotch Acid-Free Primer in a thin layer. Wait 1 minute for it to air-dry completely.
    • Apply Step One Base in a thin layer, massaging it into the nail while avoiding the skin. Make sure the entire nail surface is covered. Cure.
    • Apply CACTUS HARD BASE in a thin gliding layer, then place a drop of product in the centre of the nail and level the surface with a No. 0/7 brush.
    • If the application is not precise, file the surface. After filing, remove the dust and degrease with cleaner or alcohol.
    • Proceed with CACTUS GEL POLISH and finish with TOP NO WIPE.
    • For a coloured HARD BASE, if you want to keep the base shade visible, proceed directly with TOP NO WIPE or TOP COVER.

    At the end of the service, do not leave the tip too thin. File across the free edge, slightly shortening the length, so that the product is 1 mm thick at the tip.
