The Cactus Dual Forms are an alternative to classic Nail Forms, allowing you to create the entire structure of the nail to be rebuilt right away.

Thanks to the Dual Forms, you can create any natural shape from the salon, as well as extreme shapes thanks to the wide selection offered by our collection.

The Cactus Dual Forms are transparent, with guidelines designed to facilitate the application of the product inside, achieving the desired shape immediately.

They are designed to be flexible but at the same time resistant, a feature that saves time in choosing the size and minimizes the risk of creating steps in the cuticle area.

What type of nail are Dual Forms suitable for?

Every type of nail can find a Dual form that fits perfectly. It is necessary to choose the Dual based on the shape of the nail plate we will be working on:

If the natural nails are flat (little presence of apex), we will prefer a Dual that has a natural curvature of about 35%, such as the “Stiletto”, “Natural Square” or “Natural Ballerina”.

If the natural nails have a very evident “C” curve, we will opt for arched duals, with a curvature of 50%, such as the “Arched Square”, “Arched Ballerina”, “Russian Almond”.

What shapes can be created?

With a single type of Dual Form, it is possible (in most cases) to create different shapes during the reconstruction phase.

• Natural Ballerina Dual Form: Ballerina, Almond, Oval, Short Square.

• Stiletto Dual Form: Stiletto, Almond, Oval.

• Natural Square Dual Form: Natural Square of any length, Short Oval, Long Oval with pinching.

• Arched Square Dual Form: Arched Square of any length, Oval, Long Oval with pinching.

• Arched Ballerina Dual Form: Ballerina, Short Almond, Long Almond with pinching, Oval, Short Square.

• Russian Almond Dual Form: Only Russian Almond.

How to understand which size to choose?

To choose the suitable Dual for each finger, you need to place the tip on the nail and ensure that it perfectly matches the growth points on the sides of the nail plate. The Dual must "embrace" the nail without applying pressure, covering the entire surface perfectly.

DUAL FORM APPLICATION

• Remove any old product.

• Carefully matte the entire surface of the nail plate with a 180 grit file or buffer. Avoid leaving shiny areas as the product would not adhere properly.

• Clean and degrease the nails with Nail Prep Cactus, wait 30 seconds for the product to completely evaporate.

• Apply the Scotch Primer in a thin layer, massaging it over the entire nail plate. Wait 1 minute for it to dry completely in the air.

• Apply base Step One in a thin layer, massaging the nail while avoiding contact with the skin. Be careful to cover the entire surface of the nail well. Cure. (Note: if the nail plate is not well covered with the base, there is a risk that the gel will not adhere properly)

• Select the right size of the Dual Form for each finger

• Apply the chosen product (Gel or Acrygel) in the Dual, immediately creating the desired shape.In case, especially - but not only - of self-leveling Gel like Mousse or Sorbetto, it is necessary to pay particular attention to the thickness of the sides, so as not to leave them too thin.

• Blend the product in the cuticle area so that towards the end the amount is practically zero.

• Maintaining an inclination of 45°, place the Dual at the cuticle area, keeping a distance of 2mm from it.

• Once you are sure that the Dual is straight, lower and reduce the inclination while maintaining pressure in the cuticle area, until the sides of the Dual are parallel to the finger (it should not go up or down, as this could create an incorrect shape that could lead to cracks and breaks).

• Use the UV lamp by positioning it only near the cuticle area and cure for 10 seconds.

• Flip the finger and remove any excess product or level it with the help of a brush.

• Once the structure is leveled, cure in the lamp for 1 minute. If desired, pinch the form by placing the clamp over the Dual, after 15 seconds of curing.

• Remove the Dual by applying slight pressure with your fingers on both sides, starting from the growth points to the tip.

• Shape as desired with the file, use the drill on the underside of the nail to remove excess product and finish any steps, if present, with the Carbide finishing bit “Blue Finish d0215”.

• Apply the color in two thin layers, if desired, and seal everything with the Top Coat Reflex no Wipe.
