The filter material used in the filter is a unique composite consisting of porous and highly effective activated carbon coated on both sides with a polyester microfiber material. Activated carbon is a safe product with a porous structure and an extremely large specific surface area of up to 1500 m2/gram.
Carbon is activated by exposing it to high temperatures with limited access to air. Due to its porous surface, activated carbon has excellent adsorption properties, thus binding and neutralizing many harmful substances and odors.
The NDC Mobile+ AFINIA vacuum cleaner carbon filter uses a material with a surface area of 2385 cm2 and an activated carbon mass of 16 g, which gives me a carbon surface area of 24,000 m2!! The composite filter material captures most of the impurities in the filtration process in the size of 1-10 micrometers, eliminating unpleasant and harmful substances.
The gravimetric efficiency for FINE AC dust is 96.35%. The material is also characterized by very high dirt absorption and low flow resistance, which results in a long filter life. Activated carbon is obtained from coconut shells and is the best variety of carbon used in filtration.
