Dear Cactus Community,
A year ago, when we launched our first Dual Forms, we did not expect such great success. They sold out in no time — and among all, the ballerina shape was the one you loved the most. That is precisely why we chose to start redesigning the Ballerina, and gradually, all will be renewed.
In recent months, getting familiar with the Dual Forms, I have truly understood what I could improve — in fact, you made me realize it, thanks to your constructive feedback. So, since we did not find on the market what we would have liked to have in our hands, we decided to create it ourselves.
And today we are finally ready to tell you everything that makes our new Dual Forms truly special.
What changes in the new Dual Forms?
Those who know me are aware of how much of a (perhaps too much) perfectionist I am. And this time is no exception: behind these new Dual Forms are months of work, trials, modifications, molds redone from scratch (more than once!) and a significant investment.
But let's go back to the beginning: we started from what was most requested by the community, namely the Ballerina shape, which has been the best-selling by far, and we improved everything that did not convince us. Thus, we created a Dual designed for any type of nail, with which it is possible to create almost all shapes, making it universal. Here are the most significant new features:
Repositioned apex. We have worked on the position of the apex, which now fits better both small and short nail beds as well as larger and longer ones. Previously, the apex was positioned almost on the smile line, which required adding product after removing the Dual to perfect the dorsal — something that is no longer necessary. Therefore, time saved.
15 different sizes. No longer 10 (as in the Natural Ballerina Dual Form) or 12 (as in the previous Arched Ballerina Dual Form), but a total of 15 different sizes, to fit every type and size of nail.
More harmonious cuticle turn.Compared to the previous Dual Form, in this new version the cuticle curve is less squared. Anatomically, in fact, nails have a more rounded cuticle curve: for this reason, we chose to modify it and make it more oval, so it can adapt to any type of nail bed without needing to be trimmed to size.
Large and clearly visible numbers. On each Dual, the number corresponding to the size is printed large and clearly visible, along with the Cactus signature, to speed up the selection of the right size.
Central guiding line. For precise and symmetrical application, each Dual has a line engraved that symmetrically divides it in half, matching the one that is traditionally drawn on the finger for a straight application.Additionally, each Dual features internal guidelines that help to apply the product precisely and achieve the desired shape immediately — whether round or square.
Much thinner thickness on the cuticle edge. The cuticle edge has an even thinner thickness compared to the previous version, while from the middle towards the tip, the thickness increases to maintain the shape. Thanks to this thinness, the Dual positions perfectly: thus the product (gel or acrylic gel) does not overflow, because the Dual hugs the cuticle edge well and adapts to the natural curvature of the nail.
The right curve. The new Cactus Curved Ballerina Dual Forms adapt to any type of nail bed, thanks to a 50% curvature, ideal for nails with a very pronounced "C" curve but also for flat nails if the dual is pressed. Thanks to the fact that the back descends downwards and does not remain parallel to the sides, the shape appears more natural and harmonious compared to that obtained with other Duals, designed for the balance point.
A new packaging for a new experience. Even the eye wants its part. And as always, we want your workstation to be as well cared for as your work. That’s why we have also thought of a new packaging: elegant, unique, and in full Cactus style.
The Cactus Dual Forms are back, and this time, they are just as we wanted. We promise you that as soon as you try them, you will feel the difference. And as always... we can't wait to see what you will create with them!
