Dual Form in Cactus technique

Dear Cactus Community,

A year ago, when we launched our first Dual Forms, we didn't expect such great success. They sold out in no time — and among them all, the ballerina shape was the one you loved the most. And that's precisely why we chose to start by redesigning the Ballerina, and gradually, all of them will be renewed.

In recent months, getting familiar with Dual Forms, I truly understood what I could improve — in fact, you made me understand, thanks to your constructive criticism. So, since we couldn't find what we wanted on the market, we decided to create it ourselves.

And today we are finally ready to tell you everything that makes our and your new Dual Forms truly special.

Those who know me know how much of a perfectionist I am (perhaps too much). And this time is no exception: behind these new Dual Forms are months of work, tests, modifications, molds redone from scratch (more than once!), and a significant investment.

But let's go back to the beginning: we started with what was most requested by the community, namely the Ballerina shape, which was the absolute best-seller, and we improved everything that didn't convince us. Thus, we created a Dual designed for any type of nail, with which it is possible to create almost all shapes, making it universal. Here are the most significant innovations:

Repositioned apex. We have worked on the position of the apex, which now adapts better to both small and short nail beds as well as larger and longer ones. Previously, the apex was positioned almost on the smile line, which led to adding product after removing the Dual, to perfect the dorsal curve — something that is no longer necessary. So, time saved.

15 different sizes. No longer 10 (as in the Natural Ballerina Dual Form) or 12 (as in the previous Arched Ballerina Dual Form), but a full 15 different sizes, to adapt to every type and size of nail.

More harmonious cuticle line. Compared to previous Dual Forms, the cuticle line in this new version is less squared. Anatomically, nails have a more rounded cuticle line: that's why we chose to modify it and make it more oval, so that it adapts to any type of nail bed without having to trim it to size.

Large and clearly visible numbers. On each Dual, the size number is printed large and clearly visible, along with the Cactus signature, to speed up the selection of the correct size.

Central guide line. For precise and symmetrical application, each Dual has an engraved line that symmetrically divides it in half, matching the line classically drawn on the finger for straight application. In addition, each Dual has internal guide lines that help spread the product with precision and immediately achieve the desired shape — whether round or squared.

Much thinner cuticle line thickness. The cuticle line is even thinner than the previous version, while from the middle towards the tip, the thickness increases so as not to compromise the shape. Thanks to this thinness, the Dual positions itself perfectly: this way, the product (gel or acrylic gel) does not overflow, because the Dual hugs the cuticle line well and adapts to the natural curvature of the nail.

The right curve. The new Cactus Ballerina Arched Dual Forms adapt to any type of nail bed, thanks to a 50% curvature, ideal for nails with a very pronounced "C" curve but also for flat nails if the dual is flattened. Thanks to the fact that the dorsal curve descends downwards and does not remain parallel to the sides, the shape is more natural and harmonious compared to that obtained with other Duals, designed for the balance point.

A new packaging for a new experience. Looks matter too. And as always, we want your workstation to be as refined as your work. That's why we also designed new packaging: elegant, unique, and in true Cactus style.
