Dual Form Square Slim Technique – 120 pcs

Cactus Dual Forms are an alternative to traditional Nail Forms, allowing you to create the entire nail structure from the outset.

With Dual Forms you can create any natural salon shape as well as extreme shapes, thanks to the wide range available in our collection.

The Slim technique is ideal for downward-growing nails; this model has a negative apex.

If the natural nails do not grow downwards, the apex will need to be built after creating the structure with the Dual Form, either during a corrective refill or after creating the extension framework.

Cactus Dual Forms are transparent and feature guidelines designed to make product placement inside the form easier, helping you achieve the desired shape from the start.

They are designed to be flexible yet resistant. This helps save time when choosing the correct size and minimises the risk of creating steps around the cuticle area.

Which nail types are Dual Forms suitable for?

There is a Dual Form shape suitable for every nail type. Choose the Dual Form according to the shape of the nail plate you are working on:

For flat natural nails with little apex, choose a Dual Form with a natural curvature of approximately 35%, such as Stiletto, Natural Square or Natural Ballerina.

For natural nails with a very pronounced C-curve, choose an arched Dual Form with a 50% curvature, such as Arched Square, Arched Ballerina or Russian Almond.

Which shapes can you create?

In most cases, a single type of Dual Form can be used to create several shapes during a nail extension service.

With the Square Slim Technique Dual Form, for example, you can create Square, Almond and Oval shapes.

How do you choose the correct size?

To choose the correct Dual Form for each finger, place the tip over the nail and make sure it fits the growth points perfectly at both sides of the nail plate. The Dual Form should “hug” the nail without applying pressure and should cover the entire surface correctly.

DUAL FORM APPLICATION

• Remove any old product.

• Buff the entire nail plate carefully with a 180-grit file or buffer. Do not leave shiny areas, otherwise the product may not adhere correctly.

• Clean and degrease the nails with Nail Prep Cactus, then wait 30 seconds for the product to evaporate completely.

• Apply Primer Scotch in a thin layer, massaging it over the entire nail plate. Allow it to air-dry completely for 1 minute.

• Apply Step One base in a thin layer, massaging it into the nail while avoiding the skin. Make sure the entire nail surface is covered. Cure. If the base does not fully cover the nail plate, the gel may not adhere correctly.

• Choose the correct Dual Form size for each finger.

• Place the chosen product (Gel or Acrygel) inside the Dual Form, creating the desired shape from the start. Particularly when using self-levelling gels such as Mousse or Sorbetto, pay close attention to the thickness of the sidewalls so they are not left too thin.

• Blend the product towards the cuticle area so that the amount gradually reduces to almost zero at the edge.

• Holding the Dual Form at a 45° angle, position it near the cuticle area while maintaining a 2 mm distance from the cuticle.

• Once the Dual Form is straight, lower it and reduce the angle while maintaining pressure around the cuticle area until the sides of the Dual Form are parallel to the finger. It must not point upwards or downwards, as an incorrect shape may lead to cracks and breakage.

• Use the UV flashlight only near the cuticle area and flash-cure for 10 seconds.

• Turn the finger over and remove any excess product, or level it with a small brush.

• Once the structure is level, cure under the lamp for 1 minute. If desired, pinch the shape by placing the pinching tool over the Dual Form after 15 seconds of curing.

• Remove the Dual Form by applying light pressure with your fingers on both sides, starting from the growth points and working towards the tip.

• Refine the desired shape with a file. Use a nail drill underneath the nail to remove excess product and, if necessary, refine any steps with the Carbide “Rifinitura Blu d0215” finishing bit.

• If desired, apply colour in two thin coats and seal everything with Top Coat Reflex No Wipe.
