If you've ever asked yourself "why isn't my matte top coat working?", know that, after choosing the correct product, in most cases the answer lies in the method of applying the matte top coat. Here are the fundamental steps that truly make a difference:

1. After curing the color, always remove the dispersion layer. Matte top coat should never be applied over the color's dispersion layer.
2. Apply a uniform layer of matte top coat, not too thin. An insufficient layer can wear off faster and create shiny areas.
3. Ensure you cover the entire nail surface and slightly extend the product beyond the edge of the color in the cuticle area to avoid visible shiny lines.
4. If necessary, add a small amount of product to level the surface, using a thin brush.
5. Cure in an LED or UV lamp according to the product's recommended times. Once cured, always degrease the surface: many matte top coats have a slight, almost imperceptible dispersion, but it's essential to remove it to achieve a perfect matte effect.
